Children love to be masters of their actions and toys, the area where they play and live. They love to do things on their own, they love the order they create and therefore they learn from their parents, peers, how to eat, drink, dress, wash or put toys in place. Like any area of development, this too has its time, when children want to put on their pants by themselves, without asking for adult help, cut the meat with a knife or tie their shoelaces. As adults, as parents, we need to be role models, teach it if they fail and then let them practice it. Eating, drinking, dressing or bathing are all things that they can exercise up to several times a day as they are part of everyday life.
